Happy New Year All!!

Finally the long anticipated wait of my finished umf kind of a bike has come to an end!

Last week I drove over to Belville with great trepidation to pick up my bike - something that costs an arm and a leg, and has been giving me sleepless nights for the past 5 months! She rides like a dream :) but there are a few minor changes needed to get that perfect touring / upright posture I'm looking for. After getting a seat post with a setback and a more angled handlebar, she will be ready to tackle untamed Africa!

Excluded in the picture below is the front rack, panniers and obviously my mudguards.

From here forward training is going to be concentrated on the road rather than the number 10 spinning bike at gym that is getting very used to my sweaty crack. The entire Siyashova team is hard at work setting up meetings with companies for potential sponsorships / donations for the Hear Us foundation. If any of you guys have any contacts in companies / businesses, please get in touch with us, so we can set up a meeting or mail them further information.

On the Veterinary volunteer front, I have received positive feedback from the Worldwide Veterinary Society charities in Malawi, Tanzania and Kenya thus far;  they are delighted to have us over to lend a much needed healing hand to the multiple animals in distress.  They are also trying to set up spay / neuter campaigns around the expected time of our arrival in the different countries.

Only 65 days to go - Woooo Hoooo!!
Keep Pedalling
Peace Out
